Umm Al-Quwain General Investments Company, formerly known as Umm Al-Quwain Cement Industries Company, was established as a public joint stock company under Emiri Decree No. 82/2 on February 11, 1982, in the Emirate of Umm Al-Quwain. A transformative step was taken after the shareholders’ decision on March 19, 2016, to change the company’s name to Umm Al-Quwain General Investments Company (Public Joint Stock Company) to focus on investment opportunities. The company currently invests in securities within the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The Company aims to expand its investment portfolio beyond traditional securities, with the goal of mitigating risks through diversification in high-growth sectors.
